Community Information

Situated between three state forests and home to the castle of a railroad millionaire, Great Barrington has been voted one of Smithsonian Magazine's "Best Small Towns in America." This town may be small, but it is also very trendy and hosts year round cultural events, including music and film festivals, and boasts a wide range of restaurants. W.E.B. Du Bois was born in this town and there is a museum as well as a walking tour dedicated to him. This Appalachian Trail Community offers easy access to outdoor sports such as hiking and skiing.

School Profile

The Monument Mountain Regional High School Community fosters intellectual and personal growth and challenges their students to all be courageous learners. One of the ways they do this is through the many AP, College Prep, and Honors classes that they offer. The large choice of extracurricular activities rounds out the educational experience and offers extra help through programs such as Peer Mentors and Community Helpers.
