Community Information

The city of Walnut is named for the California Black Walnut Trees, which can be found in it’s many parks. These trees can grow up to 49 feet tall and live to be about 100 years old. A suburb of Los Angeles, Walnut is known for it’s beautiful hiking and biking trails, 11 parks and it’s state of the art recreational facilities. The city’s Teen Center organizes events, trips and workshops, as well as helps students with homework. The annual Walnut Family Festival is held every October.
